Yup, it’s time for a picture page, but no, it’s not time to go get your crayons and a pencil (for the two of you who might actually get that reference).
Anyway, here’s the picture I promised of the Com-Bit sitting atop my 02R’s display. Not the greatest pic, but then again, when are phone cam pics good quality?
While I had my new Treo 650* out, here’s a tease for an upcoming post, the first in what might become a series of “DIY or Buy” projects, where I’ll go step-by-step on how to build yourself a tool or other cool project, as well as offering the completed gadget for sale for those without the time or inclination to make it (if there’s interest, I’d probably even offer kits with all the parts to make it gathered together, good for those on tour who don’t want to have to hit up a bunch of different stores or mail order companies to get the parts, but still want to actually assemble the thing themselves).

Whats that pickle??
It’s my new “pocket pickle” (although I never entirely liked that word, since I’ve yet to see a pocket any of them would fit in); designed it to take a beating (uses switches made for video games, LOL, which will take a LOT), be really comfortable to use (an ergonomic pickle, if you will), and relatively easy to build. As I said, at some point in the next month or so, when I have time to sort through photos and write up the instructions (ie, after this tour’s over at the end of the month) I’m going to post instructions on how to build your own here, as well as offer ‘em up for sale pre-made if you’re not of the DIY type.
